Ownership

Bell Bay Golf Club is the newest member of the Cape Breton Resort Family.  Bell Bay became fully owned and operated by the MacAulay family a Cape Breton Based Company, in the fall of 2007. Bell Bay Golf Club continues to be one of Canada's Finest golf facilities.

Bell Bay Golf Club Started out as a dream of two local golf enthusiasts, back in 1986, Mr. Sandy Campbell and Mr. Scott MacAulay.   The idea of a world class golf facility in the beautiful village of Baddeck, Nova Scotia, gained momentum as three others joined the dream Mr. Bruce Anderson Dr. Carlyle Chow and Dr. John Temple.  The dream became a reality in September of 1997 when the first golf balls were driven down the #1 fairway.

Golf Operations

Once you have arrived at Bell Bay Golf club our outside hosts will greet you and take your golf bags.  They will further direct you to our full service Professional Shop where our Canadian PGA Professionals and staff will greet you with a smile.  Our Golf Operations is lead by Head Golf Professional Ted Stonehouse, 2002 Canadian PGA Club Professional of the Year, 2003 Canadian PGA Merchandiser of the Year, and 2007 Canadian PGA "Jack MacLaughlin" Junior Leader of the Year.  Our Professional shop carries top of the line clothing, crested headwear and we are a Certified Authorized PING Fitting Centre.  On the course you will be introduced to Cape Breton Hospitality at it's finest with our starters and player assistant staff.  Our focus is to make your day a truly wonderful golfing experience.

Food & Beverage

Bell Bay Golf Club's Clubhouse includes Alexander's Dining Room offers delightful dining in a stunning setting overlooking the beautiful Bras d'Or Lakes, first tee and practice facility.  Everyone is welcome to dine at Alexander's Dining room and our staff will great you with true Cape Breton hospitality.  From private functions on our 18th tee to wedding receptions, corporate outings or a quick meal in our dining room, our staff will ensure an enjoyable dining experience.

Snacks and beverages including mouth watering Italian Sausages are served on the course by our capable and friendly staff at the Halfway Hut and on the beverage cart.

Turf Care

Bell Bay Golf Club's Turf Care department is overseen by Course Superintendent, Ray Pineau.  One of Bell Bay's characteristics is its' immaculate conditions and careful grooming.  With our state of the art equipment and focus on quality with our extremely well trained staff the course continues to mature and improve annually.

Administration

Our Cape Breton Resorts team combines Cape Breton hospitality with a focus on customer service.  Our customer service starts at the telephones where our receptionists in our full service call centre  are available to take care of your golf reservations and to answer questions you may have about attractions, accommodations and other golf courses in our area.  The call Centre is open extended ours for tee time booking and answering questions.
