In 1920 the Typhoon crossed the Atlantic in a record setting 15 days. This locally-built 45-foot ketch was crewed by Casey Baldwin, William Nutting, and Jim Dorset. Their amazing voyage was made entirely under sail due to engine failure only two hours into the journey. Inside four months after its launching, this little black yacht had sailed over 7000 miles and crossed theAtlantic Ocean twice.
